Selkirk Rhinos Centenary Tournament Dinner

Selkirk Minis hosted a pre-tournament dinner on Saturday 5th May for all the visiting P7 players. P7 Mini Hornets Hamish McNeill, James Park and Richard Taylor attended as part of the Mini Borders Reivers team and James reported as follows:

A pre-tournament dinner was held on Saturday night, 5th May 2007, at Selkirk RFC and was attended by the P7s from Ilkley (England), Holywood (N Ireland), Bethune (France), Selkirk (Scotland) and the mini Border Reivers, along with their coaches.

The speakers were John Rutherford and Ciaran Beattie who talked about their rugby experiences and answered questions. John Rutherford also passed around some of his international jerseys and some of his Scotland caps.

The teams then mixed socially and ended the evening singing songs before going home to rest for the tournament the next day.
