Melrose Rugby Academy Summer Training School

Around 70 children took part each day in the Melrose Rugby Academy Training School which took place at the Greenyards from 17th to 20th July. Academy Manager, Ross Miller, had devised a very varied programme of activities. These included skills development, games, exercises and, of course, lots of fun! A whole host of guest players and coaches helped out with all the activities during the week to make sure that those attending not only learned lots, but had a great time doing it!

A barbeque rounded off events on the Friday afternoon when ‘Star Student Awards’ were presented to Jamie Brown, Finn Turner and Luke Riddell.

Thanks go to the Crawford Melrose Rugby Academy and Dryburgh Abbey Hotel who sponsored the event, as well as to all those who assisted both on the field and behind the scenes.
