SUMMER RUGBY TRAINING SCHOOL

During the Summer holidays Melrose RFC will be holding four rugby training days for children at the Greenyards from 8th - 11th July. Each session runs from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm and will be filled with various fun activities and opportunities to improve rugby skills. Crichton Cup Training

The tournaments this year take place at Melrose on Saturday 10th May and Newtown St Boswells on Saturday 17th May. Pampered Chef Tour Fundraiser

There will be a Pampered Chef Cooking Show fundraiser taking place in the Clubrooms on Tuesday 18th March 2008 at 7.15 pm. This is an informal, friendly evening with a recipe demonstration (and tasting of the finished products!) and a chance to see and purchase quality kitchen tools. P7 Tie Presentation

Club ties will be presented to our Primary 7 Mini Hornets to mark their graduation from the Mini Section to the Midi Section. Because of the Mini Hornets Tournament taking place on Sunday 9th March, there will be NO COACHING for P1-3 that day. Coaching will take place as scheduled from 11.00 to 12.00 for Primary 1-7 at the Greenyards on Sunday 2nd March 2008 but, because the Scotland -v- England U18 match is taking place at the Greenyards that day, there will be NO ACCESS TO CHANGING ROOMS OR CLUBROOMS. Fundraiser Thanks

The Melrose Rugby Club Christmas Party for Mini Hornets and members' children will be held in the Clubrooms on Sunday 16th December 2007. Tickets for Six Nations Championship 2008

The Mini Hornets have managed to secure an allocation of tickets for Scotland's home games against France (on Sunday 3rd February 2008 at 15.00) and England (on Saturday 8th March 2008 at 15.15) so we'll be taking a bus load of Minis to each game. Action from Linlithgow Games

On Sunday 21st October the Mini Hornets hosted teams from Linlithgow. With such large numbers of Mini Hornets, we were able to field two teams at each age group and, consequently, there was lots of action in the round robin games, especially when the Hornets’ teams played each other!
